Our first day aboard Broady we were all in high hopes of smackin a few billfish and the water was so hot at over 27 deg that all the stripes and blacks had run away ,but there were a few large BLUES hangin around.

As we made our way out in the really warm stuff ,Captain Ross spied a large log floating along and as we trolled past one of the large pushers got wacked :yahoo: dolllies were home and hungry.

Straight away we got the lighter threadlines out and chucked live and dead slimies straight into the melee and boom the dollies went crazy and some of them were a metre or more and we had multiple hook ups on some really agro fish and the punters on board were pumped right up.

Everyone scored PB Dolphinfish and Jani,Dan ,Donna,Geoff,Lyn and myself were over the moon with some much action.

We could have caught heaps, but decided to only take enough for a feed back at the Pub.

That night after we filleted them all,the Chef at the local called Tommy made 4 of the most exquisite meals of fish I or any of the others had ever eaten.

We had crumbed Mahi Mahi, sweet chilli, hot chilli and pesto Mahi Mahi and wow oh wow was it delicious :yahoo:

Great way to top off a fantastic day at sea with Ross and Emu aboard Broadbill and all 14 of us ate 9 full Dollies in one sitting :1prop:

:1yikes: :1yikes: Damn! Great session on the dollies

What a terrific effort. PBs, metre+ fish ... that's what it's all about. To have a chef turn your catch into 4 mouth-watering feeds was icing on the cake. Great report Stewy, and some top photos. Good to see you hoppin' into 'em as well, Donna :yahoo: Congrats once again to all the Broady Crew

Cheers

Hodgey

Well done, guys!! What a great day on the water!! Good to see the girls mixing it with the boys! Where is Lyn's photo with her fish??? Nice bend on the rods there, too!

I have only caught dollies the once on a charter off Forster here - but they are sensational eating! :) How good was that for your chef to cook it all up for you!

Fishraider Fishing Feast!!!

Jani will be spoiled for his fishing in Aussie - he'll be expecting monsters from the deep on every trip now!!

We'll see what Forster can bring

Excellent report and photos  It's great to see everyone getting among good size Dolphinfish and kingfish. I'll bet you'll soon see Ross getting onto more than his share of Marlin on Broadbill when he gets back to Sydney.

Cheers

Awsome stuff Stewy, and great photos. You've turned Donna into a reel fishing pro.

See you back at work!

A big thanks to Donna and Stewy for getting us on Broadbill, it's a very comfy boat :1boat: when your out there all day.

Geoff and I felt pretty good on getting a PB Dolly. :1clap: :1clap:

We had a great time with great company and it was nice to meet the honeymooners from Finland. Stewy was teaching Jani Aussie sayings. I'm not sure the sayings mean the same when translated.

Thanks to Ross and Emu for making us feel at home. (wahoo, I didn't have to bait up).

I can still taste the fish that Tommy cooked for us hmm, hmm. :biggrinthumb: we also had a birthday cake for Dan and Lala :1happybday:

Dan, thanks for letting me watch TV till midnight while you were trying to sleep on the sofa.

Roberta, I'm there - look harder. :yahoo:
